Citizens Warranty Information

CITIZENS Warranty Info:

When submitting your timepiece for warranty consideration, be sure to include the completed warranty certificate found at the back of your warranty booklet with your repair. Please note that blank or incomplete warranty certificates cannot be accepted as documentation of your purchase. If you have misplaced your warranty booklet or certificate we will accept a sales receipt as purchase documentation provided the receipt details the item and date purchased. Be sure to include a detailed description of the problems you are encountering. The more detailed information you can provide, the better we can serve you.

The retailer from whom your watch was purchased may have completed the information for you. If not, it will be necessary for you to complete the coupon. The most important areas to be completed are the Case Number, Serial Number and Date of Purchase.

WHAT THE FIVE YEAR WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

a) Damage, accidental or otherwise, to the watch while in the possession of a consumer not caused by a defect in material or workmanship.

(b) Damage caused by accident, misuse, tampering with or failure to follow the care and special handling provisions in the Instructions.

(c) Damage and/or scratches to the finish of the case, crystal, bracelet, strap or other components caused by wear or accident.

(d) Moisture damage to a watch not marked 'water resistant' on the case back or damage from moisture in 'water resistant' models that is a result of opening the watch, broken or damaged components.

(e) Damage caused by the consumer's failure to have the watch serviced at the consumer's expense in accordance with the following schedule of regular maintenance.

* Power cells must be replaced immediately when power is lost (except Eco-Drive).

* Water resistant models, including Eco-Drive, must be tested and resealed every two to three years or whenever battery is replaced on battery operated models, whichever comes first.

(f)  Damage caused by repairs or alterations of the watch by anyone other than one of the Authorized  Service Centers.

SEIKO Warranty Information

SEIKO LIMITED WARRANTY

At Seiko we warrant that if your SEIKO watch described on the enclosed Certificate of Limited Warranty proves, on presentation by you within three years from the date of original retail purchase, to be defective in material or workmanship and provided the watch was purchased from an authorized SEIKO dealer, we will, at our option, regulate, adjust, or repair or replace parts or movement, without charge to you, subject to the following limits and exclusions:

 

IMPORTANT: 1. TO OBTAIN SERVICE DURING THE FIRST YEAR OF THIS WARRANTY, YOU MUST PRESENT OR SEND YOUR WATCH TOGETHER WITH THE ENCLOSED CERTIFICATE OF LIMITED WARRANTY (WHICH MUST BE PROPERLY FILLED IN BY THE AUTHORIZED SEIKO RETAILER WITH THE INDICATED INFORMATION AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE) TO ANY OF THE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE SEIKO WORLDWIDE SERVICE NETWORK LISTED AT THE END OF THE BOOKLET. TO OBTAIN SERVICE AFTER THE FIRST YEAR OF THE WARRANTY, YOU MUST PRESENT OR SEND YOUR WATCH TOGETHER WITH THE PROPERLY FILLED IN CERTIFICATE OF LIMITED WARRANTY,

WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE WATCH BAND MADE OF A MATERIAL OTHER THAN METAL, CRYSTAL, GLASS, BATTERY, OR ANY WATCH ACCESSORIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY POUCH OR BELT ATTACHED TO THE WATCH. 6. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO DAMAGE WHILE IN THE POSSESSION OF THE CONSUMER NOT RESULTING, IN OUR SOLE OPINION, FROM A DEFECT IN MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIP. 7. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO DAMAGE CAUSED, IN OUR SOLE OPINION, BY TAMPERING WITH OR OPENING THE WATCH OR BY OTHER THAN NORMAL USE OR DEFECTS OR DAMAGE RESULTING FROM REPAIRS PERFORMED OTHER THAN BY AN AUTHORIZED SERVICE FACILITY LISTED IN THIS BOOKLET. 8. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER WATER DAMAGE UNLESS YOUR WATCH IS DESIGNATED AS BEING WATER RESISTANT. 9. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER SCRATCHES ON THE CASE CAUSED BY USE. 10. PHOTOCOPIES OF CERTIFICATES OF LIMITED WARRANTY OR CERTIFICATES OF LIMITED WARRANTY WHICH HAVE BEEN ALTERED OR TAMPERED WITH WILL NOT BE HONOURED. 11. ALL POSTAGE, INSURANCE AND SHIPPING COSTS INCURRED IN PRESENTING OR SENDING THE WATCH TO THE SERVICE FACILITY ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. IN SOME JURISDICTIONS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES, A SERVICE FEE MAY BE CHARGED. TO FIND OUT THE SERVICE FEE OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES, IF ANY, CONTACT THE SERVICE FACILITY TO WHICH YOU WILL PRESENT OR SEND THE WATCH

Pulsar Waranty Information

PULSAR WARRANTY:

Your new Pulsar Quartz watch is warranted by Seiko Corporation of America (SCA) for a period 3-years from the original date of purchase under the terms and conditions of this warranty. The warranty covers defects due to faulty material or workmanship, subject to normal conditions of use. A warranty coupon is required. SCA will adjust or repair your watch including replacement parts of movements, watch bracelet or its components, strap, crystal, glass, battery or any accessories without charge except your are responsible for all postage, insurance and shipping cost. SCA reserves the right to make substitutions of equal value and similar appearance.

Warranty does not cover:

This warranty does not cover water damage when it is not clearly designated on case back as being water resistant nor scratches on the case and case back caused by use. Damage while in the possession of the consumer not resulting from a defect in material or workmanship and damage caused by accident, negligence of persons not duly authorized by SCA or its representatives are not covered by this warranty. SCA disclaims liability for consequential damages for breach of any express or implied warranty including any implied warranty or merchantability, with respect to this watch. The duration of any implied warranty, including without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability, on this watch shall be limited to 3 years from the date of original purchase.

All transportation costs (including, but not limited to, postage, insurance and packing materials) incurred in presenting or sending the watch to the Authorized Service Center, U.S. Service Headquarters, or Canada Service Headquarters are the responsibility of the party presenting or sending the timepiece for service.  If sending the watch, do not include any packaging you wish returned as all shipping materials are discarded upon receipt.
